ULTIMATE SATISFACTION
And transcending all that You do to provide for us, we are realizing that a conscious experience of the living Lord Jesus, beholding Him with “the eyes of my heart”, by faith, is all we need to be fully satisfied. Yes, to simply experience being in Your presence is “fullness of joy”! And the degree to which we have “tasted of You and seen that You are Good” motivates us even more to passionately seek after You for who You ARE more that what You DO for me! Even the experience of Christ in us is something You have to give; but now, what You are giving us is YOURSELF.
There is no place for anxiety, stress, worry and fear when we live life “by grace through faith” rather than “by works through human effort”. You say, “As you therefore have received Christ Jesus the Lord (by grace through faith, Eph2:8-9), so walk in Him” (same way, by grace through faith)Col 2:6. The greatest of all pursuits, our pursuit of You, is exalted in The Pursuit of God by A. W. Tozer. Life becomes an exciting adventure, worth living to the max, when all of it is experienced in the context of “growing in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ”(2 Pet 3:18) and counting all else to be garbage when compared to the ever deepening experience of “knowing Christ, the power of His resurrection, the fellowship of His sufferings and being conformed to His death”(Philippians 3:9-10).
Yes, Lord, as Paul, we press on in order that we may laid hold of that which also we were laid hold of by Christ Jesus; that is, to know/experience Him as our very Life, the Bread of Heaven, our resource for everything, in Whom we are complete.
To meet and marry Your mate for us when praying for you to supernaturally initiate the relationship and sustain it makes the actual experience of the relationship an on-going, faith-building opportunity. The journey through life with our mates, with all the joy and pain, the trials and victories, the shared hopes and dreams as well as the set-backs and disappointments, create the opportunity to deepen our knowledge and experience of You.
To pray and wait on You to reveal Your calling on our lives, the spiritual gifts You’ve given us and the way You have chosen to provide financial support for us makes the daily experience of these things proof-positive of Your existence, that You hear and answer our prayers and that You are intimately involved in the details of our lives. How exciting is that! In fact, depending upon You for the accomplishment of our occupational objectives, personal goals and, ultimately, for time and financial freedom is tremendous because it makes You more real to us when they happen. We are truly to be satisfied with You and in You alone!
