STANDING GUARD OVER THE INNER LIFE
As we stand guard over our thought life, we are to, “See to it that no one takes you captive through philosophy and empty deception, according to the tradition of men, according to the elementary principles of the world, rather than according to Christ”(Col 2:8).
Evolution, Marxism, Liberation Theology, Materialism, Higher Criticism, Legalism, Gnosticism, Superstition, Rationalism, Behaviorism and Psychoanalysis are just examples of what Academia and Religion present as irrefutable systems of thought that literally dupe masses of people, subconsciously influencing their decision making, producing all kinds of bondage and self-destruction.

And what about Naturalism and Anti-Supernaturalism that try to convince us that the “elementary principles of the world” prove we live in a closed system of “cause and effect” eliminating any divine intervention.
No, Lord, Your Word, the very existence of which proves You constantly invade this world, coming to earth in the person of Jesus Christ, Immanuel (God-With-Us), doing the miraculous, causing spiritual birth and radical personal transformation, prophesying the raising up and deposing of kings and empires, and maybe the most mysterious of all, answering prayer by changing outcomes and results that would have taken a different course without prayer.
